BRUCE M. SCHUETTINGER, PRINCIPAL CONSERVATOR

Bruce M. Schuettinger, principal conservator and owner of Schuettinger Conservation Services, Inc., is a trained personal property appraiser and has served as the president and treasurer for the National Capitol Area Chapter of International Society of Appraisers (ISA) and as an adjunct faculty of George Washington University Appraisal Studies Program, where he also developed two courses. He has lectured extensively for various institutions and organizations since 1990.
Bruce has been in the restoration and conservation business since 1983 as both a sole proprietorship and as a corporation servicing the Washington DC Metropolitan area as well as the surrounding states. He also is a Professional Associate Member of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC) and a member of the Washington Conservation Guild (WCG).
Bruce also owns Art in Furniture by Schuettinger, a furniture studio in New Market, MD, that focuses on the design and production of new furniture and reproductions. He holds trademarks on a design concept in furniture-making called "Abstract Illusionism in Furniture," "Abstract Expressionism in Furniture," and "Abstract Organic Expressionism in Furniture."
